Message	residue like brake parts cleaner. I would use brake parts cleaner first, to get the heavy stuff off, then use simple green and a tooth brush. Ps. dont' clean where the pins/pads are. Unless you will replace the grease thats in there. IF you don't replace it, you'll constantly have the sqeeling noise.
