Since the rear speakers are just for fill, I got some used speakers (demo samples, never used) they are the SPR-174A. But they did not come with any manuals and the TechSupport link on Alpine site is down.
The speakers have 4 connections, I don't know what is the difference between them ? or which one to use ?I also got the BOSE boxes from a 90 model that will fit 6 1/2 inch speakers ( it will require some minor trimming as you see from the pic, but no big deal) I swapped the connectors from the original boxes since the others are not compatible with the car wiring harness.
I need to know which color wires to use and which one is positive and which one is negative.
My options are: Yellow, Purple, Black, Orange.
The rear speakers will run from the head unit, the amp is running the front Dynaudio speakers and the sub. What do you guys think of the vent hole? should I close it or leave it open, and should I leave the white filling material in the box or remove it ? Thanks a lot guys for the help in advance .. the last step is the sub, I will pick up one from Chris when I go to the bay area in 2 weeks ..
