does that hood come off? 2 different races, 2 diff. times, same hood flying off? ope my bad, nope just once. the 8.6 run. dunno if i'd trust a place to build my motor that can't fasten on a hood. :S you tell me. and that stang's frame, rearend, tranny, all FAR from stock...the firebird is not as far from stock as you may think. like you said about the stang..."when it's running". i dunno, all observations, i know nothing. kinda sounds like to me though you're comparing the same times down the track by a car which weighs less, is much more to the measures of track duty(with no wheelie bars-probably doesn't need it with the suspension that stang has) and FAR from stock to a heavier car with many of the modified for track use items on the stang...stock on the bird with wheelie bars. hmmm...how are you impresst more by the stang again? plus the bird runs....cuz the motor was built right. and numbers don't lie, i noticed they really wanted to make it a point that you see the dyno numbers on that stang...1100 on a dyno jet compared to not yet a final number but over 1300rwhp on a mustang dyno. hmm...don't go on about how the bird should be faster cuz more hp cuz an 800 hp car can run 8's if setup right.
