Message If you read my post last night you can see I didn't have many options especially with the time constraint and the location. I'm in the complete dark, in East Los Angeles with stuff that hardens in 4-5 minutes according to them (24 hours to cure, but still). At the time I didn't know it was cement, but I DID see it hardening pretty quick. Seriously bro, go take the Mission exit off the 5 freeway some evening and you'll understand ;)

If I left it on the paint the paint would be ruined. Already talked with two guys at the site. One of their work trucks looks like shit from being too close to where the dump was. It dried and god knows what happened when they went to remove it. The leftover pieces that I did try to get off when I got home did NOT come off with water. They had to be scraped off with a plastic scraper and a lot of effort. Maybe I should make a point to keep those in the car for instances like this, heh.

Now, all of what you and I are saying aside, it boils down to this: They dropped it onto a public road. Regardless if it was cement or bricks, they are responsible for the damage. Now, I completely see what you're saying and if they wanted to fight it in court, they could do so using what you're saying as a platform. However, after already talking to a lawyer today, when the judge sees the circumstances behind it and the fact that they know this happens (see the pic), I'd easily win. Prestholt and Fidone was so sure of this that they said it'd never get to court because they'd pay rather than risk losing that one.

Thanks though...I know it isn't easy to be the devil's advocate :)
