Message Well, this is NZR, but i'll try to make it Z related, i'm just so excited i can't contain myself!! My friend who owns the shop Horsepower Engineering (horsepowerengineering.com) in Houston, TX went to Louisiana this weekend for the Thunder Racing(thunderracing.com) drag races. The guys took 5 cars down for various classes, but the main reason they went was for their 1995 LT1 WS6 single turbo to try to break the world record 8.97 pass for the fastest LT1 in the world title. Welp, this thing puts down around 1400rwhp. Has many regulations, stock suspension and some others....they went, not 100% tuned, and the 2nd run down the 1/4 the owner of the car, employee of my buddy's, KILLED the record with an astounding 8.35 @ 168!! SO EXCITED!! My buddy, Chuck, the owner, is pretty sure after all tuned out and some more track time, it's got MAYBE some 7's in 'er, but there's no doubt they'll beat their own record soon with the car. Anyone want a vid?? ;) Oh yeah the WS6 is turbocharged and so is the Z32...which brings me to my next question...is it true what they say?? "there's no replacement for displacement"?? ;)

Oh and by the way if anyone wants to check them out for their Z...go ahead..they specialize in LT1 and LS1 but hey, they are MASTER machinists and can and will build almost anything. Course there are prolly plenty of Z specific shops in the Houston area. But just sayin....they have about 4 new vettes comin in next week, and one is an '05. They've been in business since March, and doing wonderfully.
