If you look at the Ebay stuff vs. GD stuff, it is not 100% a copy. The welds are different, the material is different, flanges, size is different, bends are different. I went the other day to Lowes to buy a regular claw hammer. Guess how many different claw hammers were hanging on the shelf ..about a dozen? They ranged in price from $6 to $25. They had different shapes, different weights, different handles. You think, the hammer companies are going to sue Harbor Freight for selling copies or look-a-likes from China ? There are numerous ways to get around a patent. Competition encourages vendors to continually improve upon their design to stay competitive. If their was one company that made TVs, one that made computers, one that made cars then improvements would nearly stop for those items. Everybody always wants to build a better "mousetrap" for the same price or cheaper. The consumer benefits in the end and technology advances.
