Message It's far easier to sit behind the keyboard and act like it's easy to get a patent and even easier to enforce but as someone who has had to go through the process AND has had to deal with the suits that came up, I know a hell of a lot more about it than you do.

I didn't say it was easy. Please reread my post. Getting an incorporation is not easy either - but that's a requirement as well. Nothing in business is easy - but that's no excuse not to do it. Also, assuming that you know more about the patent process than me is a bit presumptuous. Don't make that mistake silly goose.

At least in the IT field it there were bigger pockets and more actual people that could devote their time to dealing with it. When you have shops that are 2-10 people at most, it's impractical no matter WHAT you say to patent something and expect others not to still try to sell it.

They can steal it all they want. As soon as the product arrives on American shores, you threaten suit to the retailer selling it. Most retailers will want nothing to do with a lawsuit - and if they do, they will lose and have to pay your litigation fees.

Continue to argue a moot point if you will, I'm just saying it's a sad state of affairs.

It's sad that these shops don't take the initiative to protect themselves.

If you're tired of hearing it, ignore my posts or go elsewhere. I'm sure you can whip up something that would automatically hide my threads, Neo.

LOL. Go elsewhere?

Your position that innovators should not have to patent something to protect it is a bit silly. I still love you though.

mkay?
