Materials I used are 10/32 threaded rod, spare piece 1/2" and 1/4" MDF, 10-32 T-nuts for the Bolts in the MDF, Thin rubber gastket material, Contact Cement, Spackle spray paint, 10-32 locking nuts, 10-32 bulkhead standoffs, and some 10-32 thum screws. I do not have a rear strut tower brace yet so I lightly clamped the mount on the cargo cover bar assembly. To keep the mount rigid I ran two long pieces of threaded rod going back to the factory plastic screws that hold rear center panel in place. I used the thum screws to connect the threaded rod to the angle brackets and camera mount. To adjust the tension in the joints I used the nylon locking nuts, the length can be adjusted by the bulkhead nuts. The foam is used to keep the windnoise out of the mic which in this camera it is mounted on the top (good up to about 120mph then wind noise will be caught on tape). To mount the camera I used a 1/4-20 thum screw from the bottom of the mounting plate that touches the camera. The rubber gasket material gives everyting a little more traction when mounted to the cargo cover. The overall dimensions of the mount is large to distribute the force more evenly accross the delicate cargo cover. I have used it about a dozen times with no damage to the cargo cover or the camera.
