Message I tried to double nut my stud off, but it wouldnt grab, so I got a stud remover from sears. I wanted the first kind, cause it won't damage the old stud(not like I need it later), but they didn't have it. So I bought the 2nd one. Just hammer the right size on the stud, and remove with right size socket. It didn't feel like it was too tight, I probably could of just gotten it off with some vice grips. But the stud remover came in handy later on my dads vette project. I did double nut the new stud back on and tightened it, which worked well. Also used a little threadlocker. No probs for 10k.

I don't know about upgraded ones, the only time they break is when they aren't changed at the appropriate time. So just make sure you change them, they are no big deal.

“A common question asked is do 2+2 Z's handle better than 2 seaters? The answer, in theory, is yes. The slightly longer wheelbase should provide better high speed stability and controllability when the rear starts to lose traction.”
