I have a StageIII TT. The VR4 is more of a noob car. It takes no skill to drive it. You point the front wheels in the direction you want to go and hit the gas. Its not your typical "fun" car to drive. Its heavy and quite slow stock. Even when the turbos kick in I'm sitting waiting for something to happen. I guess I'm just spoiled with the power of a stageIII Z.
reliablity on the VR4's..... my brother is on his 4th tranny. They are not ment to be used in my opinion. It had a little problem with a bolt snaping off the water pump, thus slipping several gears on the timing belt. It took the shop we took it to 9 months to get it back to us. Along with multiple problems after we finally got it back. It has special heads and the shop sent it off to another shop that specalizes in exotic cars to have head work done to it. (part of the reason it took so long to get back/ and possible reason it still has problems) Also the turbos could be going bad and who knows what else?
