Message So many times we see people on this and other forums ganging up on vendors and saying things like "you should sue them". Here you go- a clear case of wrongdoing and you still didn't really come out ahead. I'm glad to see that you took the chance and got some measure of justice, but it's educational to me that a lawsuit doesn't equal instant satisfaction.

-John P

:over one year after Strano Performance charged my credit card, I finally got my z31 suspension parts and a refund check for $450.88.
:
:I had asked for all my money back and damages, but the Strano's convinced the judge to make me accept parts they had managed to procure because they were "unreturnable."
:Arlyn, the female side of the business admitted in front of the judge that customer complaints were "silly" but that maybe she should pay more attention to them in the future. She was in such bad physical shape that she said she couldn't stand when the judge entered the courtroom.
:When I produced a paper that said their business had an "unsatisfactory" rating with the Better Business Bureau, Mr. Strano jumped up from his seat and lunged at me from across the courtroom saying that I was in "big trouble" and that I had better "watch it." He had to be restrained by his own attorney and escorted out of the court room. In other words, both of the Strano's showed their asses.
:
:Still, the judge showed a lot of favoritism to his locals. I had to drive 3 1/2 hours one-way to get to their jurisdiction.
:All in all, I can't really say it was worth it other than it seemed like I was not going to see any parts or money until I took them to court. All I got for my time, effort and money was what was mine in the first place. I could've appealed but I decided to end my frustration and accept the parts and refund.
:Once I saw how sloppy the Stranos were both in peson and in the way they handled themselves, it was easy to imagine how they could run such a shoddy business operation. At least now I can start working on my z31 again. I sort of stopped all work until this mess was settled.
