As long as people are thinking Bose today, I have various issues with my stock Bose cassette unit in my 94 NA purchased new, 170k miles ago. The head unit has for 2 years been melting down, manifest mainly by a broken on/off switch that turns itself on and off randomly at times. I've done some research here and elsewhere and rudely discovered it ain't as simple as buying a new head unit from Nissan (no longer available I understand) or getting an aftermarket head unit (apparently won't work without ripping out all my speakers and spending a fortune on an all new system, which then may sound like crap since it wasn't custom-built for the spaces where my speakers sit now). My question is, have I overlooked anything here as a reasonable solution? I don't want to spend $500 to a grand on a sound system when I'd rather put that cash into performance upgrades. Any suggestions would be welcome. I just want to listen mostly to talk radio during my commute, and in fact I really want Sirius satelite radio. Steve
