| ZHOUND: sub 11-second 1/4-mile time, NO N20 (stock internals, not that that makes a noticeable difference) Mike (La Canada): sub 12-second 1/4-mile time, stock 1996 ECU, NO N20 Both of these cars are 5-speed. This has been debated to death and the auto fans are always going to say the auto is quicker in the 1/4. Bottom line is, it's 99% driver, 1% transmission. The only thing the auto has is consistency (good for the seasoned bracket-racers like Arnel).
