| First and foremost, Greg Dupree in his GT2530 powered 1990 300ZXTT flew down the strip at a blistering 10.74 @ 127.39mph. This was after multiple 130mph runs as well as TWO 10.8 second runs prior (10.86 and 10.85) and an 11.00 to start the day. If that isn't backing it up, I don't know what is. And all of this on a STOCK motor with 130,000 miles on it which is a record in and of itself. Congrats Greg! Here are the two sets of slips. Videos of his multiple runs as well as dozens of burnouts, launches, etc will be up in a few days when I get the footage from the various people in attendance.
And the two prior runs at 10.8X
Now that the big news is out of the way, there was plenty of other action today. Before I even get to that, if Alan is reading this, a BIG thanks to you for organizing this event! Many of you may remember AlanM who used to own a sweet Bomex kitted 300ZX but sold it for a silver/blue ACR Viper. Well, he helped organize this private, 75 car drag event at one of the finest facilities on the West Coast. We were basically alone all day to run as many times as we wanted. Thanks again bro! Now, back to the rest of the Zs. Here's the results I know of off the top of my head. Anyone else is free to toss in their slips/times if I've not listed you! ZHOUND Best: 10.96 @ 130.39mph Turbos: TD05-18G Notes: While not his quickest time to date, he's surely backed up his existing 10.89 run. The guy just gets back from a long vacation, picks up the car after not driving for a few weeks and blasts out a 10 second pass. Awesome.
DrDCanaceu Best: 11.31 @ 120mph Turbos: HKS GT2530 Notes: While Dean's car has been pushed to an 11.02, this was Dean's personal best driving it with only a handful of runs today. He quit while he was ahead as on this run you'll notice the whopping 1.61 60' time! He's finally got that launch down so look for 10s in the near future once he tweaks a few things
Seb Best: Low/Mid 11 of some sort (didn't get your slip bro!) Turbos: JWT Sport 700s Notes: This was Seb's first time at the track with the new turbos but that wasn't the issue as he was able to lay down some good 60' times. They have a few bugs to work out since the car was running similar trap speeds today with TWICE the boost he ran last time. At 12psi he ran 11.9s at our highest elevation track at 119mph and today was still hovering around 119mph at 24psi. Clearly something is up. He later put down a mid 11-second pass at just 16psi which is mighty impressive. I know you were bummed out bro but you'll be back =) 1BADTTZ Best: 11.79 @ 121mph Turbos: JWT Sport 600s Notes: I think this was Cans first trip out to the drags in a long time if not the first time in his Sport 600 car. Even without the greatest of tires his car managed to get down the 1320 in 11.79. At 121mph, there's clearly room for more once he gets that launch/tire combo down. Hope you make it out again next time bro!
degradated Best: 11.9X Turbos: STOCK Notes: Came out with the intent of running an 11 and succeeded in his goal. Way to move up in the ranks bro! Sorry I missed your run but get your timeslip to me or Arnel to get moved up on Z32Racing.com That covers the times I know of but rest assured some others will post. Mike, Dane, Rob and Mikey...post up your times guys! I'm glad you all could make it out and run your cars. For those of you tired of looking at timeslips, here's a bunch of eyecandy from the event. The first thing you'll notice is the abundance of Vipers. Seeing as Alan was organizing things, the first available spots went to his Viper friends and let me tell you, they were everywhere.
Seb in the Tech Inspection line
The group lined up in the pits. For once it wasn't us and 500 slammed 4-door Civics. So peaceful.
Seb and Zo taking care of the race gas situation
An Annihilator 1000 Viper coming off the trailer. One of the quickest on the day though he wasn't quicker than Greg and Zo ;)
Member degradated representing TT.net before becoming yet another 11-second Stock Turbo Z
A yellow C6 Corvette with hardly any miles on it and yet he dragged it all day long
The same C6 staged and ready to go. Wasn't too impressive on street tires, but what did you expect?
DrDCanaceu in the waterbox
DrDean staged and ready to run
Member 1BADTTZ's sweet TT. I have a thing for that GTZ-R, ya know ;)
Get 'em hot!
A few of the multiple Vipers at the strip today

"White Mamba"
I'd so pimp this as my daily driver
Who could this be? I hadn't had a chance to get her tuned and didn't register for the event because I was supposed to be at work today. Excuses, excuses. When I get the gears in the next month, I'll be back :)
I try not to post pics of Mustangs...but this one deserved it
The lone NSX on the day. Poor guy got worked by everything including that G35.
The Annihilator 1000 Viper cutting a good light
And finally another shot of most of the Zs in attendance. Thanks again to everyone for coming out and I hope everyone else enjoyed this writeup half as much as I enjoyed actually BEING there to see it happen.
Again, videos to come! Just you wait :)
