Message is it easy DIY?
yes, very. Power wire, ground and a purple wire that splices into the white wire (center) coming from the 02 sensor by the back of the intake manifold. the Z has 2 02 sensors (obviously). Most splice into that o2 sensor. the other one is on the passenger side of the intake manifold. I have 2 A/F gauges, one for each 02 sensor.

also, is this realtime monitoring?
yes, as acurate as your 02 sensor reads.

is this sufficient to play around with my super afc to make sure i'm not leaning out too much?
yup.

where can i get this at the best price?
Jegs or Summit, ~$40-50

Disclaimer by GerryZ: Hey guyz, Although Matt (Logik) may come across as arrogant and sometimes obnoxious, I can appreciate his wisdom and experience. You see, he's been through a lot of shit and this is a good way to release his alter-ego. He's really a sweet, genuine, honest guy and only the few that know him can appreciate his humor. I think everyone should just learn to take things into context.
