:at 1 psi of boost? You said the whole time you are making boost the wastegate begins to open up. I don't think that is an accurate statement . W/ an electronic BC, the wastegates will stay closed until about ~ 90-95%, making the boost levels more reliable and more responsive, increasing longevity of the turbos/engine, less chance of boost spikes, boost build-up at a quicker rate. If you get full boost at 3800 rpm with boost jets, you'll probably see full boost at 3300-3400 with an electronic BC, give or take a few depending on your mods. As mentioned, manual BCs (or boost jets) are prone to boost spikes depending on the size of the diameter hose being used since the boost pressure builds quicker than what the hose can flow, causing the spike in boost. It'll eventually drop down once the excess pressure flows through the hose. This is why you will see an extra 1-3 psi on the boost jets included with the JWT ECU, spiking to 14-15 psi then settling down to 12-13 psi. One way to limit the amount of spiking is to use as short of hose as possible, so proper installation is critical.
