Message it's more like the ultra-simplicity of the boost jets with their lack of tight control and adjustment versus the complexity of the boost controller along with its ability to fine tune and tightly control the boost levels.

My strategy thus far has been to build in a margin of safety with my other mods that allows for boost creep, or the lack of tight control in general with my boost jets. The simplicity of boost jets can't be beat. However, if you are prone to prolonged runs at high boost, or want to push the boost as close as possible to the safe max levels your mods will allow, or you need tight boost control for various situations (different fuel, etc.) then a boost controller would be better.

With boost jets, you need to confirm the actual boost you're pushing with an aftermarket boost gauge, even if it's only hooked up temporarily. That's my two cents. I've only ridden in Z's with boost controllers compared to mine with boost jets, so others may have more informed opinons.
