Being a fellow guitarist, I feel the need to stick up for some of the newer bands out there. Mike Einzinger from Incubus totally has my respect, that kid can kick a serios solo, as well as write with complexity. Saw them live recently and I was FLOORED (which rarely happens these days, in regards to guitar work). And you probably haven't heard either of these bands, but the lead guitarist for Ill Nino/Soulfly (he's now in Soulfly, hence I put both) is awesome. The latest albums from both bands really show off his skill. His flare is for mixing Spanish Flamenco-style with Metal. Hard as HELL to play and sounds amazing. Oh yeah, I "2nd" Z_Animal >>> Satch is KING! Still my favorite guitarist out there. (though I'm not too happy with the new disc, "Is there Love in Space". Great post anaujiramaux.
