They think since it's the internet they don't have to act like grown-ups. A few members like to go on about how they are just as big of smartasses in person so it makes it OK to act like that here. I've actually met a couple of these people in person, and they know how to behave when interacting with real people. They don't go out of their way to be mean. They're not assholes at all. Yet when they post on the forum they feel the need to be antagonistic. So that whole argument about being the same way in real life as they are on the net is crap IMO. The same thing that are happening in society are happening here. Nobody has any respect for others. They're rude without regard to decency or community standards, and feel they shouldn't be held accountable for their actions. Seems a lot of members see the problem but none are willing to do anything about it. There are plenty of times when long-time, high visibility members could be stand-up guys and not perpetuate bad behavior but they don't. They add to it. It'll be sad when this place is gone, but it won't be because we didn't deserve it. We asked for it.
