| On the way to work I was cruising at about 70 in the far left lane. Came upon some slower traffic up ahead (dont know why they were in the fast lane the freeway was pretty clear but hey I dont tail gate people). So I look over to my right mirror and I see this big old Dodge Ram with grill guards way back. I feel its safe to move over to pass the slower vehicle approaching. Just out of habit I take one more look forward to make sure nothing is happening and one more look over my shoulder to make sure nothing is in my blind spot. As I go to make my lane change I see this silver Porsche jump out from behind the dodge (he was about 10 maybe 15 cars length back). He moves over to the third lane to the right (I am now in the second to the far left lane). I gas it a little and pas the slower traffic and get back into the far left lane once again slowing back down to about 70. The Porsche passes me and I note the badge on the back say Carrera. Well, the Carrera slows down and pulls next to me and I look over and its a middle aged gentleman. He gives me a nod. I down shift into 3rd. He pulls first and I start to follow. At about 80 mph I am gaining on him pretty good. He moves over to the lane next to me and I shift into 4th and just let the turbos spool. He lines up again and I am now pulling on him easily at 90. One more line up starting at 70 and I shift into rd and again a little slow on the start but I am passing him easily (on the second run I was actually 3 cars ahead at about 105). I slow down now to get back to cruising speed and he flashes his high beams at me. As he drives by he gives me the thumbs up and I give him the hang loose gesture. I tell you what I realize now there was no way in hell that was a Carrera GT cause it would have handed me my ass. The Porsche is a hell of a sexy car, but again as with most of my runs I always smile to myself knowing that my lovely 10K Z put a smack down on an 80K+ German sports car. I wont lie to you though. If I had 80K laying around and if it money wasn't a thing I would but one too lol. It would of course be my DD and my Z would be the weekend warrior hehe.
