Message Hey Fellow Z-ers:
I've been shipping products for ~18 months now, and have never had a (big) shipping problem. Any items that were mis-delivered have been found and taken care of. Now, I have a product that was shipped and delivered - apparently to the wrong address. Delivery confirmation confirmed delivery, but the customer indicates that he didn't get the shipment (I've dealt with him before, and DO believe that he did NOT get the package). The moral of this story may be to require signature, however, that doesn't save a mis-delivery, nor would it qualify for insurance payment since it actually WAS delivered somewhere. Signature required also displeases some customers because they are not home during shipping hours, and it is further hassle to go and pick-up the merchandise.

So, I've shipped the product ($200ish value), it has been delivered to the wrong address and has not been found for about 2 weeks. It's obviously a lost cause.

What would a 'good' vendor do? Ship another product on my dime, and write the mis-shipment as a loss? USPS certainly isn't going to pay, and have given both of us the "you're SOL" speech. BTW - if you see anyone selling 4 chrome turbo hardpipes without couplers, please let me know.. ;)

Thanks for your input.
Scott
