than tirerack, so you might technically 'pay' taxes, but i always figured them into the price when matching tireracks prices (which fwiw, almost any place can do easily, except for bridgestones - they have awesome prices for them, wholesale anyway) but if you call and say you dont want to pay the $150 list per tire, you want to pay $100 each, a local place will most likely be more willing to do that to get your business ("hey, if we hook him up this time, hes bound to come back for other things"), whereas tirerack would say "fuck that cheapass, there are plenty of people willing to pay more form us so we dont need you. meet us halfway and maybe well make a deal" big businesses suck like that
