Message	off. the sun was shining bright behind the car on the outside end of the carport, but it was much darker on the other side where the engine was. i was trying to use the exposure lock to get a good pic, but i didn't get all into it. i had just got the camera, so i was mainly just snapping shots. i made a 3 minute vid while not under the carport, and the coloring/exposure was no problem at all. here's a few pics for example... i like the cam 'cause it's largest dimension is 3", has a flip out screen for viewing, has video and sound recording, all digital, and even has the plugs to pull the images or video up on a tv without having to download anything. i just need a bigger memory card, at least 256MB so i can record for about an hour or so. plus, it cost less than $200. i don't get all into the high end electronics, i like the smaller more simplistic items... :o) here's the cam, and yes, the digital zoom does suck.... lol http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00027356C.16._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg ]">
