Message need to be replaced or should be replaced if still original. If you're not planning on any performance items besides what you've mentioned, then I'd probably go to Z1 for the stock turbo's. Otherwise you can bump up a little to the stage 1's (or the next one above stock trim).
With the engine out it will also allow you to very easily change out the valve cover gaskets (2 liquid/2 solid) just as a precaution. The rear main seal is a given and also the rear shaft (tranny) seal would be nice to replace.

Along with another few items like maybe the TB coolant hose bypass, changing PCV's and things like that, the engine will last another couple hundred thousand miles.
