Message as well as too much stress on the engine. I feel these may be some of the main reasons the top end cars aren't using AWD (AWD would drag down the top end acceleration).

Ferrari, McLaren, and all the other top end companies have mastered suspension technology to a point where wheelspin isn't a huge concern. They can hage huge power at the rear wheels and still have good traction.

That's my $0.02 at least.
