So I made a couple mistakes with my paint, more specifically, caring for my paint. I put masking tape on it for an autocross event, and an old lady scraped my rear bumber cover pulling into a parking spot. Both left "stuff" on my car. I tried tar remover and goo gone and could not get it off, then I went and got rubbing compound. Not the 3M, but turtlewax. It got the residue/paint right off, but after closer inspection, scratched the crap out of the finish. I waxed it right after, at it looks ok, but not good or back to normal. So, Can I polish these scrathes out? Do I need a polishing compound? I do not care too much about longevity of the solution as I plan on getting new paint in a year or two. Suggestions?
