engines can be found for under 2k you have a few options that are up to how much money you wish to spend. JDM engine (make sure u research companies and ask Qs to the guys on here who purchased jdm motors before buying one) and that can go anywhere from 1000-3000. second option buy a complete good working bottom end from a TT.net member and then talk to ash or someone else from Z1 motorsports about a set of rebuilt heads. ALSO get a full gasket-set,timing belt, water pump, etc. Then check your turbos if they have play buy some good shape cores or brand new inner cores from charles at powertrix.com (very good guy to deal with) - YES this route will be more expensive but this way you know for sure everything is perfect. If you are a little scared about the used bottom end get a piston ring set and full rod and main bearings. ok sorry for writing this much im just trying to help out. later man and good luck finding a replacement. ~matt~
