If some of you read the rules and old threads, you wouldn't be bitching about the Titan Supra being there. It has insurance, tags, and runs drag radials like the rules say. Its financed by a performance shop. Do you not think any other cars there will be financed? Anyway.... People participating in the class wanted the car to show for various racing reasons so it was asked to come. The Titan Motorsports Supra will not be making it anymore. We were scheduling the event around an open timeslot in the NDRA race schedule but due to some problems at bristol this past weekend the car is down for some fixing. Nothing major just down for the weekend. BTW it set the new mph record going 175.8 then backing it up with a 174mph pass. ON DRAG RADIALS. Thats neat. Also, the car is no longer a 9s car, it runs consecitive mid 8s. Went 8.9 on the stock 6spd then a powerglide went in and its now running 8.5s, looking for 7s later this year maybe? ;-). Gary the driver from Huntsville, AL will probably be there still even without the car. If you visit the streetcarforums site and search back a few months there is a LONG thread about the cars competing. The king class will have some very fast cars. I was hoping to get the Z running in time for the import class but as of now i got no internals for the build :(. Maybe next month. To sum of the event, a class for anyone, a bunch of fast cars and lots of other neat shit including a dyno!
