Message	I have spenk over 4k on my stereo components/wiring alone and I did all the install myself. That being said, I have always felt alarms are good as deterents. Meaning someone will choose an easier target rather than yours when they see that you have an alarm. But like everyone is telling you here, if someone wants your car/equipment bad enough, nothing you can do will stop them.
