than a housecat. I remember one time I hit a huge dog, looked like a part Doberman and part Labrador. Ran right out in front of my '69 Firebird. The night was very dark, I really didn't even have time to react. If you know that style of car, the front bumper came to a chrome "point." That point hit the dog's skull with a very heavy thud. The dog was killed instantly, not even a twitch. The middle of the car went over the dog, my tires never touched it. There wasn't so much as a damp spot on my car. Not a mark. It was the most perfect kill I could've imagined between a car and a dog. I'd say the dog weighed 70 pounds as I dragged him to the side of the road. I'll never forget that one.
