Message it is a performance upgrade but at the sacrifice of engine life. Engine life is not an issue for race cars or performance cars in general because most individuals do not hold on to their cars for years and years and most of these cars are not daily drivers. There is not and will not be enough scientific evidence to support this unless you have two similar drivers who drive the same way on the same roads with similar cars with the same performance upgrades driving with the same conditions. The only other alternative would be to have a high number of blown motors with pulleys or a high number of motors that run defect free for a satisfactory period of miles. Unless your racing or have a weekend warrior, is it really worth it for 15rwhp ? I didn't think so ...Ash's find supports what some have been thinking for some time ..pulleys do have an effect on the motor ..is it detrimental ? ..that my friend is personal opinion ...
