Message ...but sloppy suspension throws it off. When you vehicle leans back, gravity as well as acceleration g-forces act upon the accelerometer (instead of just the force of acceleration).

They are only as accurate as:
Your suspension is stiff
Your initial placement is flat
The mounting points are secure

They give a decent estimate - but I wouldn't use it to brag or prove a point.
