| People chilling in Bernie's room:
It was overcast the entire time in LA, but as soon as you cross the mountains you get into the desert. I loved the desolation in the desert, looked very nice. Here's the road to Willow:
There was a strong steady wind the entire time, I thought it would be a good place to put some of those windmills that California seems to love. Then I crossed some hills and there some were:
Then a little bit further down the road (pic too big to put in this window): [ http://home.comcast.net/~marshallj25/pan2.jpg ] Nice desert:

I left the car show early because I heard that Steve Millen was going to be driving the most badass of all TTZ's at Pomona. I didn't want to pass up that opportunity.

Unfortunately it broke down on the first lap, but it was pulling on the other cars fairly easily. I asked Steve what it was putting out, and they had the boost turned DOWN, and it was still making about 700 hp. He said 900 hp was easy for the car.
I did get some video, although I didn't use my tripod or get any great shots, since I thought there would be plenty of chances to get the good shots. But the car ran into mechanical problems and I never got any more chances. (Car developed a fuel leak) I put together some of the fragments that I did get: [ http://home.comcast.net/~marshallj25/300zx-1.wmv ] All in all I had a great time at my first Zcon. I'm glad I had a chance to meet all the members of TT.net that showed up, and everyone turned out to be very nice in person. Thanks to everyone who organized this event.
