| It locked up on me in the "down" position when changing a clutch in my TT. When you cranked the socket drive on the side, it would just spin and not raise the scissor arms. Really was a pain in the ass to get the tranny off it because it was stuck under the car at that point (jackstands at their highest position still wouldn't allow the tranny to slip out from under the car). Well.... with that experience, I don't recommend the Harbor Freight tranny jack. Perhaps I just got a bad one.
