| Come back with bearing problems. 1 was low oil - only ~ 2 quarts in the pan when we got the car so the bearings were cooked 2 were severe Detonation - easy to diagnose since the top rod bearings were flattened and the pistons showed pitting from detonation The last one was Bryan Lewis's car. It was deemed by Bryan and I that we will call it a draw on what happened to his motor. He had flattened rod bearings and a bent crank :-(. Now in the first three I proved to the customer without a reasonable doubt that the damage was done due to customer abuse and not from a machining mistake. All three customers paid for their repairs but I gave them discounted rates. Bryan Lewis was compensated with a brand new crank, new bearings, new oil pump, and new rings even though we(SGP) still do not think the damage was because of a machining problem. So yes there have been some motors that we have built that have come back with problems but we have either proved that the problem was customer abuse and fixed at a discounted rate or called a draw and still compensated the customer.
