Message	safety design of the hood? The hood is designed to crumple under frontal impact so it doesn't go through the windshield and decapitate the driver and passenger. On both sides under the back of the hood are two hooks design to hook into fender . This keeps the rear part of the hood stationary while the front of the hood crumples up instead of slicing through the windsheild.
