Message Sport 500's are a good upgrade turbo, but you can't bolt them on a stock engine and go. Sport 500's are a more efficient turbo and produce higher boost pressures over stock turbos. If you run them, you need to at least upgrade your ECU to provide more fuel through the injectors and prevent engine damage.

But if you do that, you'll still be limited to stockish levels of boost. The proper way to upgrade would include 555cc injectors to provide more fuel to the engine so more power can safely be generated. And this requires a different, upgraded ECU.

That's $2600 to $3300 worth of parts, since both turbos need replacement if upgrading. And labor will require an engine pull, which can cost free for DIY to a couple thousand dollars.

And then the addiction sets in :). And you'll want to get the most power out of your car by doing the common bolt-on performance items like exhausts and intakes. Then there's brakes and suspension to sort out for your ride. The new clutch you'll need when all that power smokes your stocker, tires, boost controllers and guages....

So, if you don't want to replace everything else, stick to stock. That's my opinion on the matter. Stick around and serch for other folk's experiences with upgrading turbos.
