Message for fear that someone would say this.. I was actually expecting Nixit to say something though. The pistons going in my motor are still 8.5:1 compression ratio rather than the 9:1 that endyn is pushing. I like the idea of trying to create symmetry in the combustion chamber although that is not the idea behind the endyn design AFAIK - their design is based on combustion wave theory and the only thing I did was layup a trace of the combustion chamber and implemented a corresponding shape to the crown just to get rid of those shadowed regions and better define the quench areas. I haven't heard anyone giving any results on the endyn piston and I think the idea is great so I produced the drawings for the crown shape for my set of pistons to give the design a shot. Not to take any credit away from Endyn's work, but crown design based on combustion wave theory is old technology - they're just getting better at computer modeling which speeds up the process of development. Regardless, there is still the testing phase that unfortunately soooo many companies in this industry do not do enough of before releasing a product. We are finding that we (Z1) is actually having to take more of a proactive stance in this regard and we end up testing other companies' products on our own cars before we put it into a customers car.. Kindof a bummer to find this industry so full of junk, but I guess that's the case in any industry.. *shrug*

So yea, I would agree that it is an endyn knockoff - I wouldn't be able to convince anyone otherwise anyway. =)
