| There is one key difference between di-electric grease and thermal paste. Di-electric grease is conductive, whereas thermal paste is not. If you filled up one of the connectors on your car with thermal paste you would most likely break the connection, or at least make it worse than it was before. Thermal paste is only to be used as a heat conductor, not as an electrical conductor. Think about it, if artic silver was conductive and you spilled some on your motherboard without knowing it, you could easily connect two traces and either make things not work or cause sparks to fly. You gotta stick with di-electric grease for electrical connections.
