this sounds incorrect. The lighter/less rough the sanding, the higher the grit. The harder/rougher/courser the sanding, the lower the grit. When painting over a painted surface, you usually use very light sanding, just enough to dull it / slightly scuff the paint, to give the new paint something to stick to. If you use too course of a grit, all the scratches are too deep and you can see it in the new paint. Auto paint base coat is so thin its like practically water. But this is bedliner coating. Are you guys saying it needs a really rough surface for it to stick to? thanks,
