Message The Z is a great car, you will need to treat it with some respect though, it's handling limits are high enough that if you exceed them you can be in serious trouble. The temptation to test those limits is hard to resist, so be catious.

A few things you should consider. Look at the combined monthly cost of payments on the car plus insurance plus expenses (gas, tires...). Don't forget to add in the cost of the major service at 60K intervals.
There are cheaper cars to operate than a 90+ Z. A high milage Z may also require other expenses for parts like wheel bearings, power steering pump, bushings, and lots of others, so the lower the milage, the better. My Z is currently in the shop to have everything that is worn out replaced at the 120K service. The standard service and parts are about $1200, but with rotors, hoses, seals, cats, and a few other "worn items", I'm nearing $4500.

Is it worth it? For me it is, I can't wait to get it back, it should run like new! Could I have done without many of the repairs? Yes, I'm doing everything the shop recommended, including having some of the under hood connectors replaced with better quality, water proof connectors.
