| especially in Virginia now that they are using PoP technology. I'll look for the link to the independent test that was conducted. In it the V1 picked up the PoP blast, but consistently at a lesser distance than the 8500. I'm in the Tidewater area and the troopers around here are running 'em down all day long using it. Funny thing is that PoP has not been approved for use as speed measurement evidence in court - but the troopers ARE writing tickets on it. They are supposed to hit you with the regular K or Ka after getting the PoP reading, but they're not; and since most people are obeying the law anyway (not running radar detectors) they assume they've been had with regular radar. Only those running detectors know that the trooper never turned on his "legal" radar. In this area they are writing tickets like crazy. In your area have you started seeing VA troopers with the hard mounted radar units yet? Seems like every cruiser here has it now!
