Message and do NOT drain the battery. I walked into a Chevy dealer, bought the harness that allows newer model Chevys to have DRLs, spliced a few wires and had DRLs in my 2+2 just like that. An even cheaper way would be routing it to the ignition on power and such, but for $22 it saved me a ton of time.

What you're missing is that this would be a multiple hundred dollar and risky install (separating headlights, making SURE they don't leak air/moisture later) just to have a silly, inexpensive "mod" like DRLs. If you don't understand why that is stupid, I don't know what to tell you.
