Not exactly the same, but along the same lines. Air enters the front and exits the back. But the air coming in never really enters the engine compartment. It moves along a channel with in the hood and helps to draw air out of the engine bay. There would be an opening (or opening) on the bottom of this channel in the engine bay, angled towards the rear I would assume. The passing air through the channel would help pull the warm air in the engine bay up, into and through the channel, and out the rear of the hood.
I have no idea what the bottom or inner workings of this posted hood are like, but I would like to see something like what I wrote above.
