It was done by sanding the rough cast off first, then 2 coats of copper metallic. Then a coat of clear. Actually, I just picked up a plenum off of Ebay that I am going to polish first, then try 1 coat of copper then clear to make it look like actual copper and not root beer. It's the same copper color OCC used on the liberty bike for the motor. I like the root beer, but the copper is what I originally wanted.
