We don't get most of our oil from Arab countries.... yet.

BUT, in the long run we will, since 2/3rds of all the world's oil is under the Middle East. We could pump all of our own oil out of the ground and be happy for 20 years, but then we'd have nothing left and we'd have complete dependence on foreign oil. Might as well by someone else's oil now while it's cheap, then fall back on our own reserves later.
