now does it? You will wear out your clutch much faster starting from a dead stop in 2nd then in 1st. It takes more power to get the car moving in 2nd. Also have to rev the engine higher or burn the clutch longer to get it moving without stalling. In short, it puts a LOT more wear and tear on the ENTIRE drivetrain, engine included, to start from a dead stop in 2nd. Talk to any ASE certified mechanic about it if you don't believe us.
