I won't be arriving until Monday or Tuesday. So paying for the opening banquet will be a waste (that's one of many tanks of gas I could be paying for!). Also, some good driving directions coming into LA from I10 or I15 (not sure which way I'm driving through to get there yet) that would avoid travel through any questionable areas would be nice. I was thinking about making the drive in 2 very long days, but then got to thinking today that I probably don't want to be trying to find my way around Los Angeles in the dark, worn out, in a very expensive and somewhat flashy car.
