Message Witty in my mind at least :P
So the reason I’m just now posting is seeing that I won the prize for longest distance traveled to get to the meet(~660 miles)* and I just got back last night I just now got back in front of a computer. I don’t have a computer at home which is why I’m posting today and I have no pics since I don’t own a camera. So all you’re getting is a witty write-up about our trip. Witty in my mind at least :P

*This win for me was disputed by boileralum since technically he came from a few miles farther. But he didn’t drive his Z since it’s perpetually broken :) So he was gracious enough to let me accept the award.

Trip overview:
Bill(imthedevil) and Rich(boileralum) said they were going and after some badgering I agreed to go too. They can be very persuasive as Randy (ragtopz) can attest to as well. I met them north of Cincinnati and all three of them were late. I’m never late. After taking care of a couple of technical problems we were off. Pretty much the rest of the drive it rained. Then after it started raing pretty hard it started raining even harder. After the really hard rain began once again it decided to rain even harder. But in the end we made it.

Trip Notes:

Pat is a great guy and a saint for going to the trouble of putting a meet of this size together. As if it needs to be said one more time, his car is perfect. Thanks Pat

I added a couple more names to the ”JRH’s Drinking with the Z Legends” tour. New to the list are Bernie and Spencer. Drinking doesn’t have to mean alcohol btw, it can be lemonade :) Others on the tour list include Kyle Puckett, Tim Liess, SeedyROM, JackB and Wolf. NExt up is the Texas crew.

Logik is much taller in person than I had pictured in my head.

Spencer’s cell phone is permanently attached to his head. Great to finally meet the asshole behind the legend :)

Met some Old School members. Alex Lee, Arnel and Phuong. All great guys

Imthedevil truly is the devil. Thanks to him most of the ECZA believes my girlfriend is a blow-up doll. Thanks Bill

Boileralum is the master of scoring free Coors Light. Somehow we ordered 25+ beers but only paid for 15 or so. Amazing

Randy(ragtpz) is the model for making sure you do your car right the first time. Sweet car and great guy. Thanks for the couch!

Bernie refuses to let there be a break in the conversation. Man he has a lot of stories. Good to meet you.

I’m not spending nearly enough money on my car to keep of with the apparent average dollars spent by the owners at the show.

I met my arch nemesis

Pennsylvania is a long f’ing state

I’m terrible with names, but it was nice to meet everyone

I wish I had a dollar for every time I introduced myself then saw the look of despair on the other persons face as they realized who I was and that I was that evil moderator guy :D For the record, I let everyone know that Sacto Todd is the REAL bad guy

I want more details on the broken window incedent.

If you've ever wondered if the demographic you see on the forum translates directly to real life, it does. You gotta wonder who is really impressed by peeling out of a parking lot.

Truckers suck

B&B does not suck

WaWa

PA has to be the hardest place to buy packaged beer in the country. Gas stations don't sell it. Grocery stores don't sell it. No liquor stores to be seen. I had to find a bar that sells beer and then I could only take out two six packs at a time.

NJ is the easiest place to buy packaged beer. Liquor store on every corner.

Whoever it was that said Aeromodifier's GF was hot was right. Lucky man

Four legs good, two legs bad.

Summary:
In the end I’m glad I went. It was great putting faces to screen names and seeing some badass cars. Hopefully we can do it again sometime.

P.S.
The moment to take advantage of it has probably passed, but remember the rules Spencer.
