Message	if that were so, it would have to be upside down and you would have the water lines pointing up. and even if it were a drivers side that was completely dissassembled and reassembled with the shafts backwards and the tb plate shifted, you can rest assured its not opening backwards, since its sharing a shaft with the other (provided the linkage is opening and closing freely.)
